A personal letter
from Pastor Myron
God has blessed Living Hope
Community Church-CMA over the last years. He has given us many faithful
supporters and helped our church leadership manage all the resources the
Lord has blessed us with. Our church family and friends have supported
this ministry consistently since it’s beginning, which was in 1923 in
Wenatchee.
We are well aware that many
church and non-church people have lost confidence in the financial
management of the local church in our society. Fundraising and church
finances have become sensitive subjects due to the many abuses and
mishandling of donations. I believe people want to give and support a
worthy cause, but they don’t want to be manipulated into giving, nor do
they want their donation to be misused.
At Living Hope we see
fundraising and church finances as part of a ministry we have been
called to for the Lord. Fundraising and church finances isn’t something
we do in order to minister. We believe it is part of the ministry and we
are committed to letting the truth of His Word guide us in how we raise
funds and manage donations.
This section of our web page is
our attempt to give honest answers to some of the questions people are
asking concerning church finances. Paul in II Corinthians says,
"Rather, we have
renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we
distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth
plainly we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of
God. "
(II Cor. 4:2)
We desire to make this passage
as true of our ministry as it was of Paul’s.
We want you to realize that
your gifts and donations to Living Hope will be used in the most
effective and efficient way possible—for the purpose of helping people
learn to become fully devoted followers of Jesus, and reaching out to
those who are searching for meaning.
