Why Does Living Hope
Offer Small Groups?
Small
Groups are part of our vision at Living Hope. We
believe
that this is the place
where lives change,
where real life and real issues are discussed. This is
the environment where we celebrate the successes and
good times of life, as well as comfort one another
during the tough and disappointing times. It is a place
to be encouraged, equipped, and challenged to become a
fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
At Living Hope we desire to help everyone
learn and experience fully a life of freedom and
joy that Jesus offers to those who put their full trust
in him. We believe that this kind of life is possible
for all of us in Christ and it happens best when we
learn to live in his presence daily and in community
with other followers of Jesus. To assist you in
practicing this joyous and purpose filled life, we would
like to suggest you considering becoming a part of a
small group at Living Hope. Small groups are an
important part of our vision.
When Do Small Groups Meet?
Each small group decides when and where it wants to
meet. We can help you find groups that are meeting on a
particular night or in a certain area of the city and
connect you with them.

How Long Does A Small Group
Last?
Many small and focus groups form and immediately commit
to meet for 8-12 weeks and a few for 12 months. However,
we also offer a starter group, which is an introductory
step into group life that lasts approximately eight
weeks. At the end of eight weeks, the group members can
decide to continue as a small group and extend their
commitment, or they can dissolve to find other group
members. The length of time that your group meets
together is decided by your group.
Who Will
Help Me Get Into a Small Group?

Our Pastor and small group leaders are ready to help you
move into a small group. They will help you connect with
others who are looking for a group. The Small Group
Leaders help start and develop new small groups. They
are always willing to assist in starting a new group.
What Kind of Small Groups
Do We Offer?
Growth Groups -
meet together in homes during the week to
form community and to grow spiritually as disciples of
Jesus Christ through worship, Bible study and prayer.
Each Growth Group starts by working their way thought
the study material called, ”QUEST - for a
joy-filled life.” We encourage everyone at Living Hope
to study this important foundational material for the
Christian life. Our Small Groups also explore a study
material called S.H.A.P.E. This group
study is also part of our foundational material we offer
at Living Hope. Anyone desiring to be in leadership at
Living Hope is asked to complete a Quest
and S.H.A.P.E. group study.
Focus
Groups
- are people with a particular common interest who meet
together in homes during the week to form community and
to grow spiritually as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Consider Joining a Small
Group at Living Hope
Plan now -
by getting involved in one of our small
groups. Our small groups run during the school year and
some even run all year. Sunday, September 24 we will
kick off our small groups.
If You Haven’t Been in a Small Group
- let us suggest two things to consider.
1) Join a group and be a part of the experience of
learning, growing, and supporting each other. Call the
church office at 662-2558, we can help you find a small
group. 2) You can also follow along and do the study
individually. Get the material, which will be on sale at
the church office. Call our Church office and we will
help you get started.
Host a Small Group in
Your Home
-If you are interested in hosting a small
group and would be willing to receive training to use
our materials, let us know and we will help you. Call
the church office and Pastor Myron will set up a time to
meet with you.
